Youth Education Foundation Overview

Founded in 1984, the Youth Education Foundation awards scholarships of $500–$2,000 to South Texas undergraduate and graduate students.

DEADLINE

March 27, 2026

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  2. Full-time resident of South TexasClassified as an undergraduate/graduate during the 2024-25 school year.
  3. High school seniors who are enrolled in a dual credit program are not eligible for this scholarship.
  4. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Enrolled in full-time study during the 2026-27 academic year.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Scholarships in the amount of $500 to $2,000 will be awarded.

The award will be made payable to the college/university of choice and will be mailed directly to the college/university once proof of enrollment for the 2026-27 school year has been received by the Rotary office.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Scholarships must be applied for on an annual basis.
  • There is no limit to the number of years a person may apply.
  • No special consideration will be given to previous winners.
  • Recipients of the scholarships will be chosen annually.
  • A Rotarian or a dependent child, stepchild or grandchild of a Rotarian and their spouse are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The following files/documents must be included with your application:

  1. Your most current FAFSA or TAFSA.
  2. An essay of 500 words describing how you plan to give back to the San Antonio / Bexar county community after graduation.
  3. A letter of recommendation from a professor. (Letter must be on school letterhead.)
  4. Unofficial Transcript from your College / University.
